First-time blood donor Constance M. Scotellaro of Emerson (left) is the lucky winner of a St. Patrick's Day gift basket being presented to her by Susan Mysliwiec, donor recruitment director. The basket included a free lunch for two donated by J.T. McTooles Country Inn in Maywood; a CD of Irish music and an illustrated book of Ireland.
Harley Davidson/Buell of Rochelle Park recently held its second blood drive during which 102 pints of blood were collected. Harley donated a coupon for two oil changes values at $200 and has its next drive planned for February15,2003. Way to go, Harley!
Members of the volunteer committee of the Bergen Community Blood Services Foundation met recently to discuss upcoming fundraising ideas and events designed to help support Community Blood Services, a not-for-profit organization that supplies life-saving blood to its families, friends, and neighbors. Standing (from left) are members Bobbie Carney, Linda Slocum, the blood center's Director of Volunteers MaryAnn Siniscalchi, Angie DelBuono and Karen Ferriday, assistant to the center's president. Seated (from left) are committee Chairperson Michelle Laskowski and committee Secretary Marie Lyttle. The committee meets once a month in the afternoon at the blood center, 970 LInwood Avenue West, Paramus. New members are welcome.
