Frederick
Pfarrius of Woodcliff Lake (center), a regular platelet
donor who works at Wenger, maker of the genuine Swiss
Army knife, donated waist/fanny packs that easily convert
to convenient backpacks which were handed out to blood
donors during the holiday season to thank them for donating.

platelet donor Frederick Taussig of Englewood (center)
presents his annual monetary contribution to Community
Blood Services' Maureen Barker in the apheresis department
(left) and Susan Mysliwiec, director of donor recruitment
(right). Since Mr. Taussig can no longer donate blood
he chooses instead to to help the center each year by
donating money that is used towards donation equipment
or programs to help promote the importance of donating
blood. |

For Life program will
make blood available as needed at no cost to family members
of those killed in the World Trade Center disaster and
to family members of police and firefighters who perish
in the line of duty. |

Massage
therapist Micki Kuttler recently offered CBS employees
like Nidia Carreras (right) free massage therapy at the
center. Micki offers Swedish, Deep Tissue and Pre-natal
massages, as well as Reflexology. She is NY licensed and
nationally certified. Micki has a seated massage that
