Super Community Blood Drive Event:
4th and Goal Blood Drive

Community Blood Services will be participating in a New Jersey Super Community Blood Drive event, �4th and Goal Blood Drive,� on Tuesday, January 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sun National Bank Center, 81 Hamilton Avenue in Trenton.

Community Blood Services joined with five other New Jersey blood centers to participate in the Super Community Blood Drive set up by the 2014 New York/New Jersey Super Bowl Host Committee, in partnership with the New Jersey Workplace Blood Donor Coalition. The drive began May 24th and concludes January 17th, and has included thousands of drives leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium

The campaign is aimed at motivating people to donate blood for patients who need blood transfusions for traumatic injuries, illnesses and surgeries. As part of the campaign, every person who donates blood at any donor center or mobile blood drive now through January 17 will receive a red Super Community Blood Drive wristband and the opportunity to win tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII.

Donors with all blood types are currently needed, especially Type O negative, the universal blood type which can be transfused during an emergency to any patient regardless of their blood
