For NJ Researchers
Community Blood Services' cord blood stem cell laboratory for its public and family banking programs makes a variety of high-quality products* available for research purposes.
The cord blood stem cell laboratory, in accordance with New Jersey’s pioneering stem cell initiative creating a public umbilical cord and placental blood bank for use in stem cell research, is offering these products free-of-charge within the State of New Jersey.
The cord blood laboratory also has products available for purchase by researchers outside of the State of New Jersey.
If you are in need of a product that is not currently listed on our products list, please contact us at [email protected]
* Community Blood Services' research products are derived from donated umbilical cord blood units that do not qualify for public banking, placental tissue, and/or by-products that would otherwise be discarded.
Requirements for Obtaining Products
Products will be available to medical professionals who can provide proof of peer-reviewed research. Community Blood Services does not release samples for use in research involving embryonic stem cells.
