can you help! |
| Most
of use realize how important it is to donate blood.
For thousands of people at thirty-seven hospitals throughout
northern New Jersey and southern New York State blood
is a gift of life. Few people understand how complicated
and costly it is to process and test blood and blood
products. |
Your
contributions to the Community Blood Services Foundation
(CBS) Foundation help defray some of these expenses
so that we can: |
- Purchase
new bloodmobiles so that more donors can give blood
at locations near their homes
- Establish
new donor collection centers in areas like Pompton
Plains
- Purchase
new laboratory, processing and testing equipment
- Expand
our HLA Bone Marrow Donor Registry
- Offer
new services to our donors, such as PSA testing
for men
- Creating
more opportunities for new mothers and fathers
to donate their babies’ cord blood for use
by children with leukemia, lymphoma and other conditions
- Educate
people in our community about the importance of
blood donations
