3 High Schools Receive Awards

Three high schools that participated in Community Blood Services’ academic program were recognized at the blood center’s awards dinner at Season’s restaurant in Washington Township on June 11th.

The three top academic program participants were Hackensack High School with 201 pints collected, Clifton High School with 176 pints and Ramsey High School with a total of 107 pints.

Each of these schools was awarded a scholarship, special display banner and certificate of appreciation. Student and faculty from each school were on hand to accept their awards.

  • Throughout the year students will be able to track their standing on our web site, in the following categories:


highest number of registered donors for the entire year
highest percentage of donors based on upper class school population.
  • Your school’s achievements will be calculated at the end of the school year and the top 3 winners will be chosen.
  • The student committee and key faculty from each school will receive a banner for display in their school and be invited to a recognition event.
  • A certificate of community contribution will be issued to all donors. The winning schools will be recognized on our web site and in print media.
