Academic Blood Campaign�High School Blood Challenge 2004� 2005" � Program Goals Local high school students play an important role in maintaining our region’s blood supply because they provide a steady source of first-time donors, which is an important part of ensuring an adequate blood supply today and in the future. It is this initial blood donation experience that is the primary determining factor in whether a person will regularly donate blood throughout his/her lifetime. This challenge not only recognizes student contribution, but also will increase our future donor base.
