Celebrate Mother�s Day and make your mom proud by making a life-giving platelet donation at Community Blood Services� Paramus or Parsippany donor centers on Sunday, May 10.

Donate between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Paramus center, 1 West Ridgewood Ave., and receive a gift card to The Outlets at Bergen Town Center. Donors who donate during the same time at the Parsippany Donor Center, 1259 Route 46, Building #4, Suite #12 will receive an Applebee�s gift card. Gift cards will be mailed to donors.

Donors can call 201-251-3733 to make an appointment to donate or click here to schedule online. Platelet donors are continuously needed to help treat cancer patients and other patients with blood disorders.

�Platelet donations must continuously be replenished because they only have a five-day shelf life. Sunday donations are especially needed to ensure there are enough platelets on the shelves in the week ahead to help patients in need,� said Karen Ferriday, director of community affairs at Community Blood Services. �What better way to celebrate motherhood than to return that gift of life to someone in need!�
