Volunteer donors who donate blood or platelets at Community Blood Services new Parsippany donor center on Thursday, March 5 to help rebuild the hard-hit winter blood and platelet supply will receive a complimentary gift card to Applebees restaurant as a thank you for their lifesaving donations.
One donation can save up to three lives, says Karen Ferriday, director of community affairs at Community Blood Services. Were asking all eligible platelet and blood donors, particularly those with the universal blood type, Type O negative, to please give the gift of life.
The Parsippany donor center, 1259 Route 46 East, Building #4, Suite 12 reopened last month. Donors are invited to donate on Monday, March 5 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. to get a gift card.
To make an appointment to donate, donors can call 201-251-3703 or schedule online at www.communitybloodservices.org. Walk-ins are also welcome but an appointment is needed to donate platelets.
