Breast Cancer Facts:

  • New Jersey’s breast cancer incidence rate is the 11th highest in the U.S.
  • New Jersey has the highest breast cancer mortality rate in the U.S. among white females.
  • In 2012, 226,870 new breast cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed.
  • In 2012, 39,000 women are expected to die from breast cancer.
  • Red cells help fight infection and platelets stop bleeding from cancer treatments.
