Community Blood Services & Kearny Health Department Partner to Help Save Lives

June 23, 2011

Kearny, NJ Community Blood Services of NJ/NY is partnering with the Kearny Health Department to offer community members free health screenings on Thursday, June 23 as a joint commitment to their communitys health.

Screenings will be held between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on the WeCare health & wellness bus in front of the health department, 645 Kearny Avenue.

The valuable health screenings, which will include non-fasting total cholesterol, non-fasting glucose, hemoglobin, blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, are being offered in hopes of helping community members maintain their good health and to identify abnormal results early enough to improve the outcome of any disease.
