COMMUNITY BLOOD SERVICES PRESENTS
“PLAY WITH THE GREATS” GOLF CLASSIC

Register Now, 5-16-2011

It’s time to register for the Community Blood Services Foundation’s 14th Annual Golf Classic being held Monday, May 16 at the Preakness Hills Country Club, 1050 Ratzer Road in Wayne, New Jersey.

This year’s fundraising Golf Classic features former pro athletes teeing it up for charity, signing autographs, posing for photos and sharing stories of their memorable careers. Among the 18 greats expected to attend are former NY Giants Hall of Famer Harry Carson, as well as Rodney Hampton and Bart Oates.

Registrations to play with the Pros are limited and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Foursome sign-ups are encouraged. Various fee levels are available to enhance the golfing experience. Click here to get a copy of the full invitation in a brochure format listing all the details and sponsorships available at this year’s exciting event

The day begins on the driving range leading to a BBQ lunch and pro introductions by a local broadcast personality. Golfers will play 18-holes of golf in a scramble format beginning with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start. Multiple contests and prizes will be offered on the course and, during the cocktail hour, one lucky golfer will take a shot at a $1,000,000 hole-in-one.

The evening continues with a gourmet tailgate dinner, live rock-n’-roll band, auction items, streaming player videos, and discussions about your experience playing with the greats!

Contact Arleen Kearns at 201-705-1669 or email [email protected] to register or for more information. Or you can register online or fill out the RSVP card (Click here) and mail it Attn: Arleen Kearns, 1 Pearl Court, Unit C, Allendale, 07401 or fax it to 201-251-3966.

Community Blood Services, a not-for-profit organization devoted to serving the community’s transfusion medicine needs, supplies blood and blood products to 25 hospitals in New Jersey and New York.

The Golf Classic is a major fundraiser each year. Last year it raised $75,000 to support the center’s many lifesaving programs and services, which include its public umbilical cord blood bank, The New Jersey Cord Blood Bank and its HLA bone marrow Registry.
