Academic Blood Challenge (ABC) High School Program
How the Program Works
It is a competition between high school upper classes throughout northern New Jersey and southern New York State.
It offers the opportunity for students to engage in community service, build class spirit, be eligible for scholarship opportunities and, most importantly, educate them on the importance of donating blood and saving lives.
It encourages students to form a blood drive committee and take ownership of coordinating a blood drive in their school.
Participating schools will sponsor a bi-annual blood drive with the students responsible for recruiting their fellow students, faculty and staff to donate blood.
