According
to the American Cancer Society an estimated
203,500 new cases of breast cancer are expected
to occur among women in the United States
and an estimated 106,300 people will be diagnosed
with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2002.

In
an effort to assist the friends and families of
our community who have been diagnosed with these
diseases, Community Blood Services has instituted
the "United For Life" program. With
support from organizations like yours, Community
Blood Services will make blood available to those
in need and help meet the future need for blood.
To
help fund this ongoing program and cover the
processing fees incurred for blood or blood
products, sponsoring corporations and community
based organizations are invited to:

Sponsor bi-annual
blood drives

Make monetary
contributions

Sponsor fundraising
events

Establish a
matching gift program
Corporations
and community groups participating in the "United
for Life" program will receive special recognition
for their contribution for their life-saving efforts.
