United for Life

According to the American Cancer Society an estimated 203,500 new cases of breast cancer are expected to occur among women in the United States and an estimated 106,300 people will be diagnosed with leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma in 2002.

In an effort to assist the friends and families of our community who have been diagnosed with these diseases, Community Blood Services has instituted the "United For Life" program.

With support from organizations like yours, Community Blood Services will make blood available to those in need and help meet the future need for blood.

To help fund this ongoing program and cover the processing fees incurred for blood or blood products, sponsoring corporations and community based organizations are invited to:

  • Sponsor bi-annual blood drives

  • Make monetary contributions

  • Sponsor fundraising events

  • Establish a matching gift program

Corporations and community groups participating in the "United for Life" program will receive special recognition for their contribution for their life-saving efforts.
