Anyone who donates whole blood or platelets at Community Blood Services’
Paramus, Goshen or Lincoln Park donor centers from October 9th to
October 14th will receive a complimentary long-sleeve T-shirt and be
eligible to win tickets to a Jets football game.
Donors at community or corporate mobile blood drives also will receive a
shirt and be eligible to win the tickets.
All donors will be entered into the raffle for the Jets tickets and
eight lucky winners will be chosen.
All blood types are needed to ensure the needs of the patients at the 39
hospitals served by Community Blood Services are met.� Types O
negative and O positive are especially needed. Type O blood is the
universal blood type and can be transfused in an emergency.
The Paramus center, located at 970 Linwood Avenue West, is open weekdays
from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Lincoln Park center, located at 63 Beaver Brook Road, Suite 304, is
open Tuesday and Wednesday, 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2
p.m.
Hours at the Goshen center, 7 Coates Drive, Suite 5, are Monday, 11 a.m.
to 7 p.m.; Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, noon to 8
p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The center is closed on Friday.
Walk-ins are also welcome but an appointment is needed to donate
platelets.
