Anyone who successfully donates whole blood or
platelets on a mobile drive or at any of our New Jersey or New York
donor centers from Monday, May 21st through Saturday, May 26th will be
eligible to win a cruise for two to the Bahamas.
In addition, donors will receive a complimentary canvas “sling pack”
featuring Community Blood Services’ logo and tagline, “Life Shared, Life
Saved.”
The three-night cruise for two will leave from Florida and head to the
Bahamas. Some restrictions apply and airfare is not included.
In New Jersey, donors can donate at the Paramus center, 970 Linwood
Avenue West, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or on Saturday
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Or they can donate in Lincoln Park, 63 Beaverbrook
Road, Suite 304, on Tuesday or Wednesday from 1 to 8 p.m. or Saturday
from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Donors in New York State can donate at the Warwick center, 20 Grand
Street by the Mount Alverno Center at St. Anthony Community Hospital, on
Monday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Or they can donate at the Goshen center, 7
Coates Drive, Suite 5, on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday or
Thursday from noon to 8 p.m.; or Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Spring is a time to renew life, and what better way to renew life than
to give blood,” said Garrett Allen, call center manager for Community
Blood Services.
Community Blood Services is a not-for-profit organization that provides
blood and blood products to 35 hospitals in southern New York State and
New York City, as well as in New Jersey.

donate whole blood but an appointment is needed to donate platelets.

Whole blood donors must be 17-75 years old (16 years old in New York
with parental permission) and weigh at least 110 pounds. Donors also
will receive a complimentary cholesterol screening.
