Community Blood Services Foundation will hold its
Trustees’ Gala on Friday, June 15, 2007 from 7 p.m. until midnight at
Mayfair Farms, 481 Eagle Rock Ave., West Orange. Attire for the evening
is formal, with black tie optional.
The event will include an elegant cocktail hour, fine dining, and
dancing to the music of The Silk Band. Mayfair Farms’ 19th century
mansion is situated on 14 beautiful acres of landscaped lawns and
gardens. For more than 60 years it has earned a reputation for
excellence in fine catering. During this special evening, Community Blood Services will present two
awards for outstanding service and commitment to saving lives through
the work of Community Blood Services.
Sister Jane Frances Brady, SC, will be honored with the Community
Blood Services Humanitarian of the Year Award. Sister Jane, a member of
Community Blood Services’ Board of Trustees for more than six years, has
a long and distinguished history in the healthcare industry.
United Water will receive the Community Blood Services Corporate
Partner Award. Under the leadership of CEO Tony Harding and COO Robert Iacullo, United Water has held regular blood drives with Community Blood
Services and has been a steadfast supporter of the organization’s
fund-raising activities.
Proceeds from the evening will support the blood center’s continued
growth as one of the region’s leading suppliers of blood and blood
products by helping to fund the renovation and expansion of the blood
component processing facilities at the Paramus center, 970 Linwood
Avenue West. The components area processes units of red blood cells,
plasma, and platelets used to save the lives of patients at 35 hospitals
