Volunteers Needed at Community Blood Services


Spring 2015

Community Blood Services is looking for community-minded individuals interested in volunteering for their community blood center.

Volunteers are needed to help at the receptionist desk at the Lincoln Park Donor Center make phone calls to recruit blood donors and provide clerical support at its Montvale headquarters, and help in its donor center canteens by greeting volunteer blood donors and offering refreshments to them after they complete their life-giving donations.

Volunteers, including bilingual volunteers, are also needed to register bone marrow donors at community marrow drives.

Trinkleback said day, evening and weekend hours are available. Volunteer qualifications include the ability to work with people, the willingness to learn and the desire to make a valuable contribution to the community. Volunteers can be students who need community service hours, retirees who have extra time on their hands, or busy professionals who just want to make a difference. Training is provided.
